Looks like you're trying to post a thumbnail or something, not the fullsize pic itself, which would have a .jpg or similar file extension.

Even the full size pic doesn't end in .jpg which is the requirement for visibility on this forum.

That's weird. I don't know how that site is rendering or serving up the picture. Usually if you right-click on the image and select "copy location" you'll get an address that ends with .jpg. But not with this one. Also, in Firefox there's an option called "View Image" when you right click on a picture but that option doesn't show up. Never seen that before. It looks like they're using PHP to render the image which is probably an anti-theft measure. But you can always take a screenshot, crop it down to the photo and uploaded it to photobucket.

More than likely the imgage file is being served directly out of a database or streamed out of a folder and unless the content type and file name attributes are changed in the server side scripting to reflect a named jpg image, that's the result.

You have to have your images stored on the internet somewhere then post the full path to that image.

Click on "quote" in a post with a picture and see how others do it. Pics need to have FULL url's in between the image tags.

Bill, you need to upload your photos to somewhere like photobucket or imageshack etc. Facebook will only work for ppl with accounts and linking from a folder on your machine definitely wont work.
For it to work you need to post a url (http://www.this is the location of my jpeg in the address bar at the top of my browser.com) in between 2 image tags [ image]www.jpeg[/image] (no spaces in the tags)

Thanks, Jim. I just copied and pasted from photobucket, never had that problem before. I guess the jpg has to be at the end. I'll just leave all my future postings of pics for you to clean up after me!.
