The closest, non electric, best out there is the BrakeAway. Cost is about $200 but I wouldn't trade mine for anything. It's the only throttle lock(cruise control) that will disengage when you hit the front brake. The quality and workmanship are outstanding! VERY easy to use. I don't know of any electric ones for our bikes.

I tried installing the "brakeAway unit on my america and found it impossible to adjust. the arm that goes around back to the bottom of the brake handle bolt has 3 adjustments on it. up and down, a slide in and out, and a pivot point at the end. I could always tighten 2 of the 3 but any 3rd one would consistantly bind the throttle. I was able to return it satisfaction. Anyone have the throttlemeister? I believe that is the one that installs like grip endcaps. That one looked interesting. I'm at a standstill right now. I need something for longer trips.

They told me that the BrakeAway unit for my 2005 Triumph America is the model #6CB03-04. 3 adjustments on the back bar that braces the unit. By the time you get the last adjustment torqued down the throttle is binding. Worked on it 4 hours one day 1 hour the next. They took it back with no problems. Glad about that because its $200. I next contacted the people from VistaCruise. $39.95. A friend of mine put one on his Kawasaki 800 v twin. It works fine. And the price is right. But,,,,they don't make one to fit our America/Speedmaster. I'm in the process right now of trying to get them to make a model for us. I told them we have over 3800 members not counting bike owners that are not board members. Now to the third option. The Throttlemeister looks promising. That's the one that goes on the end of the grip. It's around $150. I tried to contact them but as of yet they don't answer their emails.

I use a universal vista for 1" bars. It took just a little modification but works as intended. I installed the thumb lock upside down. If you install it as directed, the thumb lock will be 'up' while unlocked. I figured since it will be unlocked most of the time, I'd rather it was down. So to lock the throttle, I flip the lever up. To take it off, I flip it back with my index finger, like pulling a trigger. It's almost a natural movement coming off the throttle.
Vista unlocked
Vista locked
Made a reaction arm from scrap aluminum as the supplied was too long. Attached it to the throttle cable retaining screw. Bad photo too close up.

I use a 1 1/4" O-ring between the Handle bar grip and the kill swithch housing. Cost me 49 cents. can't remember the thickness maybe 3/32 or so. just enough for a bit of extra friction. Used it on my last trip to southern California for 2800 miles, worked very well.

awaginc, I tried that as well. It holds fine going down the road but getting into 5th gear with it down in the slot for me was a real pain. That's why I'm looking for different options.
