Getting bike ready for a week ride in the mountains of North and South Carolina.Camping gear in living room ready to be packed all is in great order. Bike is checked, oil and fliter changed, chain cleaned and lubed. Here is where I need Help. Was out riding last night and left front blinker went out. Left rear blinker works, rear blinker when working flashes on and off very fast. Broken bulb I thought. Remove Bulb, looks OK. Go to Auto store by replacement, plug it in no joy still does not work. Wires look good, no short or exposed wires I can see inside the left front pumpkin. Got to give background here. I am a body mechanic....as in human body. I can amputate your leg, slam in a new stainless steel knee or hip, put a rod onto your spine and peel your face back and reconstruct your facial bones. I can not do mechanical stuff. Any advice. I am leaving Sunday to camp and ride in the Blueridge Mountains. Just me and my bike no one else. I need to get her fixed and make sure I am not having a Lucas night mare. Any suggestions. Thanks

P.S. Other indicator lights (right side), horn, bright and low beams work fine. So fuse should be good.

Sorry to take up your time. Man this site is great. Went into the Tech Vault did a search and Soren's post came up from 25 june 06. Answer was already posted. Checked connectors, unplugged and plugged back on. TA DA works great. My thanks to you all and Robert who started this site. It sure adds to enjoyment of driving a Triumph BA/SM. Not to mention the pocket book. Thanks guys.

Sorry to interrupt your conversation with yourself here But you may want to go back to autozone, grab a wee tube of dielectric grease, and squirt some into that connector (unplug, swuirt in female end, plug back in. you doctors can figure that anatomy lesson out right? ). That should help prevent corrosion etc. In fact anytime you do ANY electrical work, it's good to re-grease the connector.
