About 1/4 of the way out, no more than half. When the engine is warm, pull it just short of the point where it starts affecting the idle.
Better yet, ease it out a little at a time until your problem either gets worse or better. If it gets worse without getting better first, your mixture is too rich. If it gets better at some point, too lean.
