I can not remember the pilot jet trick involving rolling hte throttle and if the rpms hang up before settling down. what does this mean? i put the freak on and am not sure if i need to up my pilot or tighten the throttle close cable.

In my humble opinion buying the freak was a waste of money. The kit sucks and nothing fits. If i were goiing to do it again i would buy the k n n filters and make my own brakets since i had to completely modify every piece. good luck.

The trick is to ease the choke out just a little. If it gets better, you need bigger pilot jets. If it gets worse, go smaller.

Outsider,
"If the throttle is lightly "blipped" at idle, and the rpm "hangs up" before dropping to the set idle speed, and there are no intake leaks and the idle speed is set at less than 1000 rpm, the mixture screws are probably too lean: try 1/2 turn out, to richen mixture. Be sure there are no intake leaks and the idle speed is set at less than 1000 rpm!" from Factory Pro

How far out is a little? Between zero and 1/4?

" How far out is a little? Between zero and 1/4? "

About 1/4 of the way out, no more than half. When the engine is warm, pull it just short of the point where it starts affecting the idle.

Better yet, ease it out a little at a time until your problem either gets worse or better. If it gets worse without getting better first, your mixture is too rich. If it gets better at some point, too lean.

check the plugs. White color, too lean=bigger main jet.
tan color is what you want. black/dark brown, too rich=smaller mains. you can also move the needle jet to adjust air/fuel mix.

Yeah it's fast. It's blue and it has flames.
