You may just need to adjust the rear brake, so that the pedal sits up a bit higher, this would also raise the point where it's at it's full compression. The way that I did it is to take the clip and pin out of the bottom of the linkage, loosen the top lock nut, and physically spin the shaft to raise the pedal up. Same for the shifter linkage, trace the linkage back to the shaft coming out of the clutch cover, and remove the bolt that fastens the linkage arm to the splined shaft. Slie the linkage arm off, and re-orient it onto the splined shaft, to adjust it. Rotating the arm clockwise will raise the shifter up.
