Well, my sweet husband attached my footboards for me. We found that the brake lever HITS the board--enough to make you wonder if you can get FULL BRAKE when you REALLY NEED it-- and the shifter lever taps the footboard when you want to get it down into first gear. We tried rigging the brake side with extra washers with the bolt, BUT it messes up the littler (short)piece that fits into the bracket to keep it in place ---so the whole thing ends up wobbling and loose. I am bumming. We had directions, such as they were, plus it's about a 'no brainer' isn't it? I hate buying over the internet because you get reamed on returns, if you are even able to return. It's been more than 30 days also. I bought this from TriumpheStore.com. Any suggestions? I don't mind modifications TO A POINT, but these brackets just could be a bad quality control day, huh?
