I asm trying to figure out the carbs since I have only run Amals in my 68 years. In my curiosity I reoved the diaphragm and slide to see whats involved in needle shimming. Unfortunately I didn't notice the bleed hole in the bottom of the slide when I took it out.I think I put it back correctly based on putting the wear marks on the slide towards the motor. Could someone please confirm. Also the "needle holder", that plastic tripod thing doesn't seem to affect the needle, just locate the spring. Also don't understand how the diaphragm lifts the slide as it seems the suction should be above the rubber, not below it.Seems this tripod thing could also move and cover the bleed hole??
Sorry for the senile ramble, but answrs greatly appreciated
