If I'm just changing the jets, can I do it with the carbs on the bike??

Yup. That's what I've been doing to get the jetting dialed in with the Freak. You just have to drop the bowls off (drain them first) and then unscrew the jets.

Thanks, I think I had 142's on my last bike with the Freak and D&D exhaust if that helps you, ran flawlessly.
Is there a special tool you use to take the bowls off with? Doesn't seem to be alot of room down there, also can I reach the pilot jets also with just dropping the bowls?

The hardest thing to reach is the rear/inside screw on the left carb. It sucks. I have a wee little ratchet that holts 1/4 screwdriver bits. Helps....

Hi, I'm a newbie here. I have a Bub exhaust and Unifilter but the DPO only changed the main jet (130) and I think the bike is running lean. Would appreciate knowing what jets and shims you use and how it works out.If you shim the needles I dfo know its less trouble to whip off the seat and tank IMHO. Stu
