Well...one of the oldest "motorcycle" pieces of wisdom. Just to get this off my chest, I always believed it is meant to keep you sharp as a rider...otherwise...I think it is garbage. I have been down hundreds of times in my Enduro days...but haven't and don't ever plan on "laying" my street bike down just because of some gomer saying.
Especially when I usually hear this piece of wisdome from non-motorcyclists.
