i finally stopped at the dealer about a month ago. got there about half hour before closing time so he wouldn't let me take it out.

what everyone had said is true.... it loses alot of it's awkward appearance in person.

this guy has been around since the 50's & weathered the storm with service but had to add kawi to his trump & guzzi line to get through. i sat on the R3 1st & was amazed at how light it felt to flick back & forth. doubtless it's alot of bike but it didn't feel like 700 + lbs. then i sat on the new big kawi 2000 that wieghs within 25#s of the R3. i kid you not - i could not keep the bike up flatfooted!! this was obviously a familiar site to them cause as soon as i moved toward that bike they had a guy get to either side of me. i now also believe all the guys that testified regards R3s agility.

any way you look at it ..... one hell of a machine.

i asked him what was his best seller & he surprised me by saying the speedy was his slowest mover but the t100 bonny went like hotcakes. different folks - different strokes.
