Maybe not. 75 seconds after the Shuttle lifts off, it has traveled 41 miles, working out to a half mile a second (if it were traveling at a constant speed, but it isn't since it starts from a dead stop), and I seem to recall the screen saying after about 4 minutes that it was traveling at 15000-20000 feet per SECOND!!! That works out to 12,371mph in only 4 minutes, and it was still accelerating at that point. I remember calculating that if we were on the Shuttle, it would only take about 4 1/2 minutes to reach my in-laws house in Connecticut from South Carolina (908miles). Le's just put it this way, you can put the Freak on, and a 36 tooth sprocket, you are NOT ever going to go that fast on our bikes...
