Hi Guys,Just got back on line, BT have upgraded all the wireing round here and have had no access for over a week, are any of you comeing down the M25, if so, can we hook up at Clacker Lane services between J6-J5, approximate time would be a good idea, for the final leg down to Martyns. Andy

Hiya guys (As you probably already know) I'm easy! I'll meet Jan on the M40 if it's easy. From the M40 we meet the M25 at J16. M25 anticlock to M23 @ J5 then M20 south to the services at M20, J8 Sounds easy if you say it fast!!

OK guys, lets have some times for meets ...
I'm off to the dealers first thing to get the ST service and panniers but hope to be back home for noon at the latest.
I'll have all my gear ready to load staright onto the bike so can be on the road within an hour of that, I'd guess.
That's probably the soonest I can be away so if anyone wants to meet me, factor that into your times.
For me, M1 is the easiest option but whoever said life was easy?
I'll meet anyone, anywhere so pipe up and lets get some definate meet times sorted.
Anyone who doesn't have my mobile number and wants it, PM me and I'll send itcha!

So you're going on the ST to a BA meet??(Don't give me any of that "its a Triumph meet" toffee!

Given that I don't finish work until 5pm, you had better take it bloody slowly if we are gonna meet en route! Does Mrs Martyn know you are gonna be there all day?

Two words and one of 'ems OFF.
Strictly speaking, as it stands at the minute, neither!!
Until I see it after the service on Thursday WITH panniers etc, I won't be using the ST which kinda buggers things up because as I've managed to actually RIDE pretty much every spare minute (outside of working), I haven't paid the America the attention it needs (other than new brakes) so it's not really ready either!
I suppose if I don't have the ST ready, I can always spend Thursday afternoon playing with the America on the bike lift!

I've underlined the word you missed ....
Besides, have you met Jackie yet?

Just to give you an idea ... the side cover (the black one with America on it, mine is painted blue) from Triumph was £70.
I paid £35 to have mine painted.

Not yet, and I am a little afraid to do so - the "old fella" keeps telling her its my fault when he goes home from rallies looking like crap!! It was easier before you went on the wagon cos we both got the blame, now there is only me!! It's enough to drink me to drink!!
As if that wasn't bad enough, at the Highway Hunters, I had both Elton & Hedgehog moaning cos I was " drinking too fast"! Bloody soft Southerners, not like us hard Midlanders eh!

you know how bad his eyes are ..
I went to the opticians the other day (free eye test from work), turns out I would "benefit" from glasses for reading & close up work - I am officially getting old!!
Told the woman in Boots that I wasn't interested/bothered about designer frames ( I was on the bike & dressed "comfortably") so she says to me, these are in the sale, they are £99!! Told her I would look elsewhere first - I guess its time to give up reading then!!

Hi Nick We are aiming to get there between 3pm & 4pm local time. If you are that close why don't you meet us on the ring road in Antwerp? you could get the bike warmed up then
Martyn
If you have to ask why I ride, you wouldn't understand the answer!

Ok guys, these are my plans and anyone wanting to play are free to join in (look away Nobby & Steershead because I doubt they'll help you guys!) Depending on what happens at the dealers in the morning, I'm looking at getting to Martyn & Jackie's for around 4pm (by which time Grzegorz will have necked all the ale!). The general plan was to get to Martyn's where he and Jackie have very kindly allowed us to chill for a while before setting off for the ferry, via the meet with Dafydd and .. er .. Mrs Dafydd (I don't know her name, sorry!!). I have his address so I'll try and get there under my own steam but I'll be using AA Autoroute, so expect a call Martyn!! My chosen route will be M1 from J24, M25 clockwise, M20. Jan: If you are going at around that sort of time, I can do M42 / M40 and meet you if'n you want. Nobby & Steershead: I know Shaun is working until 5 and I assume Andy is too but all I can say is, if work won't let you off for the day (or ½ day) try this - s.i.c.k.i.e.!!

Hey Andy If Clacket is the one approx half way between J5 & J6 on M25, I can probably do that too. I'm sorta dependant upon how quickly I get away from the dealers in the am!! Not sure if you have it but I'll PM you my mobile number.
