It's not even difficult to get a copy of the Declaration of Independance.
I got it in about a minute flat through Google (where else? ).
Takes a couple of reads though to get the gist of 18th century language.

Interesting to see some familiar historical names as signatories.
Benjamin Franklin, printer / publisher.
John Hancock, merchant.
Thomas Jefferson, lawyer.
