 Can the header pipes be rechrome dipped?

Gu before me let the pipes get blue...can i have them re dipped in chrome? I already tried blue away and all that stuff...any hints?

Another option.... ceramic coated. I've seen this done in black and silver.

Black looks good, silver looks weird. Jaymo had this done and ended up getting new headers cause he didn't like it after all.

Itlnstalian you might want to try Bomsaway with a polishing wheel. It was the only thing I could find to get my pipes looking like chrome again. BomsawayDarryl

Hi Ryan,
Prior to joining this site , I wasnt aware of the affects of leaving the AI installed. One cold winter day , I let my bike warm up with the choke to long and overheated the pipes. Turned them a dark gold and blue. Tried to remove it with a bunch of stuff then Easy_D told me of Bomsaway.
That stuff worked great. Where are you at in NJ?

I tried Blue away...im guessing its all the same...but it made my pipes a dull silvery metal now...its not blue or chrome....But wherre can I buy new chrome headers?

You might want to try it. The key is a buffing wheel.
Ive inserted a pic but it really dosnt do it justice. Im in Morris county, The only place I know to buy header pipes is thru the dealer. Pipes

I bought a 3 pack set(riobi) at the home depot for 10 bucks in the tool section
