Just bought my new Gear One over pants and I'm starting to pack. Changed the oil yesterday and stocked up on spare parts. The kidney is feeling great and this is starting to feel real. I hate getting to worked up to soon, but for some reason can not help it. We are almost there.

I recall a bout of rain or two last year. Let's see, it rains we get wet it stops raining we get dry. Nothing to it. If it rains hard and long we get wet and tanked too.
Ryan, when am I to arrive at your abode?

I'll probably be home around 5:30pm. Be there in time for a good diaper change (not mine ).

I am sure there will be plenty of pictures. But I managed to mount my video cam to the handlebars and rig up a power source. So we will have vid of the Glen!! I will make a test video this weekend to work out the bugs. I leave Tuesday morning for up north.

Adey, you might have company with another Harley! Steve (Glazer) from Chicago might be bringing a Harley rider with him so we will have two of you to Snicker at and talk about!!!
Naw Adey, yer on your own... Since the Chicago gang has forsaken me I was trying to convince a buddy of mine to come along for the ride. Even used you to help aleviate his concerns of being heckled non-stop for his choice in rides...lol Anyway he folded on me, so guess I'm going it alone. Speaking of which, I'm not sure exactly when I'm heading out, I've got some tires on order (long story) but as of right now have no tracking numbers telling me when they're going to be here. I'll wait as long as I can but my original plan was to head out after morning rush hour on Wednesday and see how far I get... don't think I'm up for a non-stop haul but at least Cleveland. I'm slabbin' it all the way on 90 so if anyone is around Cleveland late Wednesday or gonna be headin through there Thursday morning give me a shout if you want to see about hooking up.

I guess the thruway. We haven't decided on the exact route, but the shortest is best when towing.

Not to worry Phil,
I have been saving up 4 years of social observations, I can keep you busy all by myself. Maybe I can pay FriarJohn's way out of modertator purgatory .
I wonder if Pat obtained the "proper" permits? I always found around here, when in doubt, invite the cops.

Yeah, we'll miss you, all the real men and ladies will be in Cannadogfood this next week. Have fun mowing the lawn while we are out riding the Glen and drinking and eating the ONLY wings. At least there will be enough food and beer now that you won't be coming.

Pat, have you been given any instruction from the track (Watkins Glen) on where (specific portion of the track) and when we are to arrive? If you need any help locking anything down, let me know today, and I will place a call.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Ride Safe!

I feel like I'm slackin': I gotta change fluids, lube all parts (squeeky front caliper...), get new rear wheel put on, pack (including buy good rain pants, and sleeping bag), find the remainder of my clothes in box in the garage (haven't unpacked all my stuff yet). All while finishing half the floors, painting all the walls, rewiring the telephone/data jacks, replacing most of the outlets and light switches in my house. Did I mention I'm active duty and a full-time student this semester?

Yep, gate #2 off of 414 at 11:30-11:45am. I can't rememebr the guy's name I was handed off too, Tim maybe? but he is very cool about us coming and looking forward to us. He is also going to give me some nice riutes to putt around since he lives down that away and knows it better than I do.
