Wow! Thanks Pete, but Lynn will be with me. Last year a boatload of various motels and hotels were available. Heck I might tuck Lynn and I into a B&B somewhere, you know get us away from the hairy one's antics (Even though I love that dude) . The Filigree Inn is one of many B&B's for instance. But in reality I'll try for one of the mom & pops places on Lakeshore Drive. And if push comes to shove, I will take you up on your most generous offer.
Edited: Except for anyone else who claims it before then.

Hey all,
Since I'm feeling guilty that the band is claiming floor space downstairs in the music room, (I'll find out how many tonight) the least I can do is offer my tents if anyone wants to use them.
And hey...what's up with the windshield? I thought someone would jump on that. I'm not a haggler with people I think well of so name a price that you think is fair and it's yours. I checked for parts and the only thing missing is the rubber grommet that goes behind the lower attach point.

Pat, I was talking to a couple of guys riding BMW's at the toymakers on Sunday and told them about our rally. They told me they had a BMW rally at Watkin Glens a couple of years ago and the only guys who got to ride the track had to have full leathers, no jeans or half helmets and you had to have gloves.

Ah, but we have Ryan! He knows the guys since he works for {eddited for accuracy} International Speedway Corporation, not in any way affiliated with Nascar.
They set it up for us, they told me they haven't allowed bikes in awhile but are making an exception for us.
Ain't we special?

I do not work for NASCAR! Don't get us in another law suit! I work for International Speedway Corporation which owns Watkins Glen. NASCAR just happens to inhabit part of our building.
If there is a policy in place at Watkins Glen, it is no doubt the work of our risk management group. I will get to the bottom of this today and then we can proceed or not proceed based upon what I learn.
Stay tuned. If it doesn't work out, perhaps we can get a dunk tank for Saturday night, and Yota and I can take turns as the guest of honor?

Helmets, boots, jeans, gloves, etc. I don't know where the racing leathers, etc. came from, but it might have been a racing school requirement. Watkins Glen does not normally allow riding groups on the track, but they are willing to make an exception on our behalf. I was actually told that we could get away with just helmets, but most of us, I assume, will be wearing the other gear.
That is the word. If anything changes, y'all will be the first to know!

I guess that leaves just 1 question. Would we want to knock each other outa the barrels b4 we get to the falls? while were falling? or after we reach the bottom?

Did I say pants? I meant pants or a leopard print thong.
I have an extra bed for any non-snorer. I am a pretty light sleeper. If there are no takers, perhaps we should consolidate our rooms Pete?

Benny, I guess you get the room. I did not think Moe would take it, but I had to offer. He and Lynn like to have a room to themselves, and I don't blame them.

Hello Pat, Well I've been watching this post for some time now debating about coming up, well I am going to try to make it. If I come up it will be on Friday. I'll be coming from State College, PA. I also mentioned it to some people from the local RAT pack. I hope that was okay. I'll let you know as soon as I do if anyone else is coming up. The Rally sounds really super. It will be nice to go somewhere that there won't be all HD's. I'm really looking forward to this. See you in Sept.! -- Scott

Scott (slp...) Absolutely. come on up and join in the fun, which I personally guarantee you will have. If not, I'll give your money back, oh wait, it's free.. Have some of the RAT guys come if they wish, all are welcome. I know there are at least 2-3 other bA.com members right there in SC, PA as well, inn fact, Matt and Litzerski are going to meet up there and ride up from State College together. The Lafayette Motel is all full, you can call the Pinewood Manor 585.394.0150, about 200 yards down the road, and they still have rooms as far as I know. (the music on hold is the music from the original Pong game, weird). There is plemnty of camping room in my back yard and there are also tons of other motels and B&Bs in the very close area, at least 10 within 2 miles of my house. It is big tourist area and the season has pretty much ended after Labor Day. So finding a room after arrival is not hard.
