I just recieved a Lambskin Seatcover for my beaut. Found a discussion on another website and got interested reading all the good reviews. I contacted the vendors Lee and Susan running their family business "Cruis'n Comfort" in Australia (they don't have a website yet) and guess what? Earlier that week they had finished the first set for the TBA. I ordered a black cover and have just put it on (quite easy). Unfortunately it's raining today, so the road test will have to wait, but I'll keep y'all posted. I strongly believe that the upcoming (long) trip to the Euro Meet will be smoother and easier for the rear... pooksta7@tpg.com.au is the e-mail address if you want to contact these extremely nice people. The price for the rider's seat cover was a mere AU$110.00 including shipping to Sweden!!!
The cover is as I said easy to put on and take off, and the lanolin (natural in sheep's fur) is supposed to withstand water. More pics in my PhotoPost album.

That seat cover looks good. Sounds like a great price too.

Corbin? No, not at all. It's a home-made backrest made from a sissy pad I got from another member, bolted to an L-shaped bracket attached to under the pillion pad. Works like a charm - and much cheaper than a Corbin... Do a search in the archives on backrest and I'm sure you can find more info. Hope this helps!

Looks good Piper, I was looking at getting a piece of sheepskin for the pillion pad on the rocket as a mate of mine swears by having sheepskin on bike saddles... but just don't go riding your bike in South Wales.. the sheep get a bit touchy about it

Today I finally took it out on a long test ride. The people singing the lambskin praise knew what they were talking about. Smooth, soft but still firm (did that make sense?) and not hot at all. This will save my butt for sure on the ride to Asendorf in a couple of weeks. The final review will come after that trip. Thanks Lee and Susan!

Hi piper, Glad you got the seat cover ok and like it. I'm certain your trip to Germany will be much more comfortable because of it! Please get back to us when you return with your impressions. I meant to inform you that if it gets wet due to heavy rain, keep a leather wash cloth (chamios) in your pannier. Give it a good wipe down a couple of times and then sit straight on. I do this with mine and never get a wet ******! Thanks for your custom Bengt.
Ride Safe.

Anyone know if I could get a cover like this for the Triumph touring seat? Suggestions? Not the most comfortable seat in the world ya know.

Try e-mailing Lee pooksta7@tpg.com.au Maybe he can make one up for you? I know he and Susan have made covers for several Triumph models and different seats.

I have a sheepskin for my occassional use when riding in the winter, and I have one on my office chair at work. I call them "butt mufflers." I used to carry one when I took a trip on the airlines, but I felt a little self conscious and once someone asked me if I had hemmerhoids, so I sorta stopped that practice.

piper, what have you got for shocks on your bike? They look great... wonder if they would have any in black for a speedmaster? Thanks again for the email address... guess I missed it in your first post, always did like the pictures more than the words.

The shocks are made in England by Hagon and yes, they can be had in all black. Mike Selman - http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc012.htm sell them. Talk to him. Hope this helps! //piper

Well, the Lambskin was tested on my 3000 km (1865 miles) Euro trip. I had it on for the whole time (six days), and it doesn't look like I've sat on it at all. No problem with the heat, since the lambskin seems to breathe even with my big butt pressing it down. Did I get numb? Yes, but I believe I would have been that much sooner and much worse than without the cover. I mean, even sitting in the most comfortable armchair gets uncomfortable after a couple of hours. The gas stops and a few others (stretching and a cold drink) were good to have. Would I recommend others to use a Lambskin Seatcover? Yes, definitely, if going for a long ride with the OEM seat.
