UNI cleaning

Is there any substitute for cleaning and oiling the filter other than buying those kits. Something around the house or shop. I'm cheap.

I know for cleaning you can use dish soap or Simple Green and then rinse with warm water. Let it dry and re-oil it.
I use the uni oil to re-oil.

Yup. I use dish soap and warm water. And a can of uni oil will last you forever.

I soak mine in a True Green and water solution and then re-oil with the uni oil. Be careful not to over oil the filter. Carbs don't like that much.
