JD stuff is all over Wal-mart and a bunch of other department storesExactly.. you won't find JD 'boutiques' like you do with HD, Disney and some others. If you go to a JD dealership, the machines are the focus, accessories are the afterthought.
As for the free advertising others have mentioned, having kids, I see it all the time. DKNY, Abercrombie and Fitch, Nike, etc.. I'm always asking my daughter 'how much did you have to pay to advertise for them' and just get a blank stare. It's amazing that a $6 shirt can get bumped up to $25 or more just by putting a 'brand' on front
