Need to get rid of the pumkins in the back ... looking at the small silver bullet LEDs ... wanting to put them on the back fender chrome strut on the middle bolt ... any idea on which one would work? They have: L.E.D. Universal Silver Bullet Kits with 5/16"-18 Mounting Bolt or L.E.D. Universal Silver Bullet Kits with 3/8"-16 Hollow Mounting Bolt
anyone do this or know which one would work?
Thanks, Kevin

I just put the mini-leds from Bella Corse on my Speedy, and not only do they look great, they were easy to install and they're REALLY bright! http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc090.htmCheck 'em out. Takes all of 10min to install, tops. --Jaeger

They bolted straight into the existing holes where the current pumpkins are (behind and slightly below the license place). No muss, no fuss -- even reused the washers from the stock lights. I gotta get some pix posted here soon.

From memory you can use this mounting kit from kuryakyn to add the silver bullets to the REAR bolt on the fender strut - it converts the hollow 3/8 thread to the M8 metric thread and lets you hide the wire inside the the stud. They don't make one in the M6 thread you'd need for the middle bolt though.

The fork tubes are 41mm but the shrouds surrounding them are 57mm. Take the shrouds off and they'll work. One option if you're leaving the shrouds on would be the rivco mounts from newspeedmaster.com however I'm not sure how the pumpkins bolt to them and if you could replace the fittings with the 5/16" ones required for the silver bullets... you might want to email Brent and ask him. Another option is the turn signal relocation bracket from Ma's cycles. They say something about needing the "correct spacers" with silver bullets, but they don't say what sort of spacers those might be. Again, write an email and ask I guess. Matt

I suggest, that if you are planning on relocating the pumpkins down to the forks, try to buy a set of rear signals off someone. Then bolt em up with some hollow studs. No more pigtails. Looks real nice.
