I decided that I would write a letter to Triumph about the rotors (and paint chips on the fuel fill), and in doing so, I ran across the paperwork from the original owner which was stuck in the owners manual. Turns out that my bike is still under warranty until March of next year! So I called the local dealer and asked about the rotors and got the familar 'brake parts aren't covered' bit.. didn't even get around to asking about the tank. Hopefully, the letter I shot off to Triumph will get some results. Seems some have had success with Palm Beach Triumph, which I guess I'll contact as well. My local dealer is a 'supermarket' store that sells every brand under the sun and is definately not a Triumph specific dealer or service location.

It's got to the point that the front bucks like a rodeo steer and the front brakes are completely useless on loose or wet roads. Back brake pads are now gone after a little more than 8,000 miles as well, so it's a good time to get them all fixed at the same time.

I'll post any response I get from Triumph on the situation.

Cheers,
Brad
