I have the Windvest as well as Jim's Spacers. I had to raise mine all the way up before it rerouted the wind completely. That put it where I could look right over the top. It seemed to work the best if you aligned the edges of the shield with the angle of the forks. I really like it. It does what it is advertised to do....
