That is a must. I ended up with some Maui Jim shades with my Rx, as everything else the ear piece is too big to easily slide into my helmet. Also, if you have a face shield, polorizing your glasses may not work - gave me funky shadows and rainbows in my shield and windscreen. Had to have the glasses remade (which they did for free thank goodness!)
