The inaccuracy of the Speedometer is common to many bikes/manufactures. In fact, I think it is intentional. I ride with a GPS often and although the speedometer is approx. 7% off the odometer is dead on.

Been getting 46+mpg all summer long. 42 at the beginning of the year and actually hit 49mpg in the last few weeks.
