Well, gregzilla, - it was explained to me when I called D and D about their kit that a "Nickelsil" coating replicates the stock barrel, and is what sets the modern parallel-twin motors apart from the old. In other words, your rings & cylinder will last longer (their compression).

This will probably open a can of worms, but, on the front side of this move, I would opt for the "Nickelsil" coated kit.
