This event's sponsored by the "One-Up" club that doesn't allow cruisers such as the America or Speedmaster. Honda CB500's are "cool", but Triumph America and Speedmasters are not. So anyone in Chi-Town willing to stiff them on the $10 entrance fee, the beer's on me.

melvin Adjunct Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 534 gibraltar	what do the yanks know about mods and rockers now thats a british biking culture i suppose you can learn about our biking past as we have learned from the yanks with the outlaw biking culture the good thing about bikers is that it is not a fad rockers still exsist mods don't they are now accepted as scooterist mods was a fashion thing of mary quant and the sixties bikers are bikers for ever and they keep being born mod culture died with flared trousers and two tone suits

fz25 Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 78 Nashville, TN	Just saw this post... & felt I needed to comment. I actually went & did enter my '06 SM... mainly so I'd get good parkin! I knew I wasn't gonna win anything but all in all it was a great time! Weather was fantasitic, the crowd was very diverse as were the bikes, scooters & cages (saw an old friend I hadn't seein in 15yrs showin off his '63 baby blue Buick). Everyone was very chill & were all out just to have a good time. There were some very nice old Nortons, BSA, Trumps. Very few HD by comparison. The whole show had to have a few hundered enteries as all the rides took up about 3 city blocks (in that hood 1 block = roughly 1/8 mile) of parking on both sides of the street. To sum it all up, if they have one next year & ya happen to be near... check it out good times. This is one of the only pics I could take before the battery in my camera took a dirt nap... can't remember the year but it's a chop/bob ridgid old Trump. Brings new meaning to that old Zappa classic.. "Ride My Face to Chicago" The BIG print giveth & the small print taketh away!

So it was you who did that to me in Worcester summer '65 ? THAT HURT !!!!! OK it was a phase I was going through...the mods seemed to have better looking chics than the Rockers.....I was just getting in touch with my feminin side If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.
