Thanks for the input guys, my ride already has re-ground OE camshafts, so they do have a bit more lift and duration than the stocks; my original list was predicated on the wishful thinking that the cams themselves are still useable. If they're not, then new camshafts will be back on the list. Like Dinqua, I've done a little research on the carrillo rods, the $327 per rod isn't such a big deal, but the quoted 6 week lead time is a big deal. That's alot of time that I don't think I have, I definitely don't want to put that much delay on the dealership. If they were only a 3 week lead time, I'd almost definitely buy them. As far as carburetors go, my bike has the CRS 35mm carburetors, they're definitely still useable, and I'm happy enough with them, so I'm not going to put any money there. As far as why the gears stripped, the jury is still out on that one; the dealer indicated that the rear oil pump rotor had very minor scoring only, so I don't think that debris lodged in the oil pump caused the gear to get hung up. Who knows??
