Don't tell anyone I told you this...

Home Depot; 3/4" Stainless Steel water heater connection hose. Dremel off 1 END. Dremel a slice in ONLY THE STAINLESS STEEL on the other side. Twist off the S.S. Sleeve. Ahhh... you see??
Put 2 'Lil holes about an 1/2" from the ends. Slide S.S. hose over wires or whatever, put a small zip tie through and around the end of the S.S.. Pull it tight. Cut a piece or 2 of "the right size" heat shrink tube and shrink it over the zip tie and cover the cut in the S.S. then stretch the S.S. hose (it will get nice and small making a perfect fit) and zip tie the other end and heat shrink it the same way. Make sure you put the heat shrink tube on first, obviously..
If you want, you can cover wrap whatever your covering in colored electrical tape or in heat shrink tube (although, you really don't see through the S.S. all that much)
Also, inside microphone cords is the same S.S. shield, just smaller. So fellow musicians, don't throw away those old cords. My guitar man told me about these..
Enjoy. it does have it's place.
