Let me tell ya a true story about NY's EZ Pass. My friend, Ron, has one and is always having troubles with them, they constantly over/double charge him. He sends in the statements and it will show that he is charged twice, even 3 times the same toll at the same booth at the same time. It takes them about 90 days each time to straighten it out. But of course, by then he has gone over his limit according to their calculations, then they start adding surcharges to each transaction, even the double billings. He once got a bill for over $200.
Then, on top of all that, they even gave him a speeding ticket once because they said he went from one end of NY to the other in world record speed. Now, Ron is a wuss, (geez, I mean, he even rides a Sporster that he bought from a girl) and he drives like my grandmother. You know the guy, you pass him on the Thruway and flip him off for driving 52mph in the fast lane for the last 25 miles, preventing any of the 18,000 cars backed up behind him to pass anyone else. Yep, that's Ron, the speed demon. He ended up fighting that for about 6 months, then just sent them the $64 and gave up. There is no arguing with the NY Thruway Authority or the DMV, they ALWAYS win.
Then, once they retire from the DMV, they are given jobs at the post office. I am sure you can spot them, the ones mingling behind the counter, showing baby pictures to the 12 others while 400 people wait in line and one window is open.
Hmm, bad history with these guys? Ya think.
