According to what I read, If he had a helmet on,it seems his injuries MIGHT have been less severe. I'm suprised that the Steelers let him have a bike. I remember reading in one of my ski magazines, an interview with Cal Ripkin, that he wasn't allowed to ski under his contract due to potential injuries.
