Just received my chrome cover for my 05 amer. For all you guys who have changed them out, are there any tips to do this. The cover does not come with a gasket. Can the old one be used. My bike is fairly new (150 miles). Is there a gasket, and can the old one be used. Looks easy to get to, I will give it a try. Thanks Doug

Dead easy... undo the bolts, pull the old cover off, clean out the accumulated gunk, put the new one on making sure you don't pinch the wires under it. The only other slightly tricky thing to watch is that there's two different lengths of bolt, don't mix them up.

Doug,
Do you get the feeling that pinching the wires is a common problem with this mod???
