I found the job to be pretty straight forward. Keep in mind you can adjust the distance of the shifter to the board to accomdate your boot size by removing the shifter from it's rear spindle (take it all the way off) and turn it a notch or two.
I found the large "bolt" holding the mounting bracket on the brake side was a bit of a problem getting loose. Nothing that my 2 pound sledge couldn't handle.
