Is there any Brit bikes in the flick?
khatt,
Tons! There's one part forwards the beginning of the film, circa early 1960s, where Bert Munro(Anthony Hopkins) aboard his 1920 Indian races against a bunch of kids riding '50s and '60s Triumphs, BSAs,and Nortons on the beach in his native New Zealand. This is before he leaves for America and the Bonneville Salt Flats.
This film has it all. It's a terrific human-interest story, containing both subtle and broad humor. It's also a "road-picture" with likeable characters found along the way, and a main character you find yourself cheering for at the end.
Needless to say...I liked it. A LOT!
Cheers, Dwight (oh...and it's also somewhat of a salute to the U.S. and the American spirit of individualism)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
