6236 is correct for us.
You should have also received a black plastic sleeve about 2" long that can fit inside the left grip. Once you have the old grips off, hold the left grip up against the bar where the control side touches the control. Measure how much longer the grip is and cut the sleeve about a 1/8" shorter. Jam this all the way in. This takes up the slack, so to speak. Glue it on. The throttle side has the sleeve almost all the way down.
A good sanding of the left bar is critical for the new grip to stick and you have maybe 5 seconds to 'get it right'. Instead of shoving and twisting I made sure the superglue they provided coated everywhere I sanded. I then shoved the grip straight on without any problem.
