Ok here's a few questions. If the Republicans and the press of the early 1940's had treated the president and the military fighting WW2 the same way today’s Democrats and press treat GW Bush and today’s military, would they have been heralded as great patriots or treated like traitors?

If antiwar politicians and the left wing press wanted to give aid and comfort to the terrorists what could they do that they are not doing already?

Does the fact that reporters are getting themselves killed in greater numbers than before make some sort of political point? If so, what?

If the US had followed the advice of the left wing and bugged out of Iraq a few years ago, who would be running the place now and what would their policies be? Would we be better or worse off?

I love listening to the left wingers talk about social responsibility and connectedness when it was they who abandoned South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to the mercy of the Communists in 1975 after our troops had won the war and a peace settlement with the North was agreed to in Paris. A few million Cambodians and at least a million Viet Namese paid with their lives for that victory of the American left

It was the American left that cautioned Clinton to stay out of Rwanda and let the Europeans dither about in Bosnia for over a year. Talk about “Never Again” doesn’t mean much when you won’t back it up.

JFK said something about bearing any burden and paying any price for freedom. What a load of crap. The left is unwilling to pay any price or bear any burden what so ever in the pursuit or defense of freedom. And everytime there is a burden to bear you can bet there will be a John Kerry or Murtha to demand that that burden be dropped and those who depend on our promises be abandoned and allowed to die or live under tyranny.

If the Holocaust was happening today I’m sure the left would want the UN to look into it maybe even demand sanctions. But as long as we weren’t directly attacked they would want us to stay out of it because “It’s not our country,” “They’ve always treated people that way,” “Let the Europeans handle it, it’s on their continent,” “What gives us the right to step in,” “We’re not the worlds policeman” or some other self serving blather.

Let’s insert the words “Jew’s” or “Black’s” where we so often hear the word “Arab’s” and consider how it sounds when you hear “Those Arab’s can’t help it, that’s just the way they are.” Or “All those Arab’s aren’t worth one American life.”

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
