The guys on the ground in Iraq say the terrorists are getting weaker. That the importation of terrorists is slowing and that their quality is declining. Very few Iraqis are involved with the terrorists and that the vast majority of the population hates them, as evidenced by the steadily increasing number of tips we get about them and the increasing size of the Iraqi army and police force. Of course that is from our rabidly partisan military, not from the totally objective and dispassionate press corps.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
