Portales, NM ....suburb of beautiful Clovis, NM ...green bean capitol of N.M. .......Don't look for trees,,, there are not any.......Nice town but personally prefer Las Vegas, NM .. Carlsbad, NM and the always quirky Roswell !!
Portales is this much,,,, it is better than any big city except some town like Tulsa...which is truly a gem.
P.S. Taos is not bad either....if you can take the winters. but that goes for any of the North location towns in the state.
