Thanks very much for posting this. I just mounted a Triumph legend front wheel with a nice fat front tire, and because the Legend wheel is an inch smaller in dia I didn't have a problem with clearing the fender. But I had never thought to check the side clearance where the wheel passes through those protrusions on the fender bracket. I checked as soon as I read your post and was surprised to see the clearance is miniscule. I have taken the fender off for now and will have to cut out those pesky protrusuons before I can go out in the rain again.
