I was reading a post over at the rat site about doo-rags and such and the term poser and wannbe biker kept coming up.This got me to thinking(I try not to do that to often as it hurts).Am I or are we poser's and wannabe's. I have known what I always thought of as real bikers.I spent many a fine evening drinking beer and playing darts in various bars with these guys. Mostly a good group to hang with and when someone desided to get stupid I have had them more than once push me aside and explain to the person as to why he had made a mistake. I remember once big dan grabed a guy, lifted him off his feet, bounced him off a wall, and caught him as he bounced back. He then gently set him back on his feet and asked him if he still wanted to borrow five dollars. He had changed his mind for some reason. You had to be there to understand. Anyway when I bought this bike, being a biker or mimicking the lifestyle never occured to me. I don't wanna be a biker never did. While I have enjoyed my time spent with them, there are parts to their lifestyle that doesnt really appeal to me. Anyway, so where does this place me. I just bought a bike because I love to ride motorcycles. Allways have since my first minibike. I'll never get over what it felt like to pull the cord on the mighty briggs and straten and power off into unknown. So here I am 40 years later still loveing motorbikes and still riding. So, no im not a poser and i don't wanna be a biker. I do wear a do rag most of the time cause it keeps my nicely shaven head warmer in the cold and dryer in the heat. Comes in handy for wipeing bugs from my visor and more. I do have some leather but I dont genaraly wear it unless the weather calls for it. I don't have no tatoo's. I don't know what I am....
