I thought this picture may help a first timer out.
It is the complete air injection system that you are looking to remove and plug. (I got mine "the plug" from Brent at NewSpeedmaster) however, they didn't send me the ones with the union jack on it like I ordered and paid for, but oh well, they still worked)

I just did mine this weekend and it took a total of 25 minutes. Very easy to remove yourself.

Here are the instructions from this site.

Enjoy!!!

I can't get the image to stick here. Maybe a moderator could help? Copy and paste link in the meantime. Sorry...

Hey when you guys remove it, save those two screws that mounted the valve. They come in handy as a GREAT place to mount extra relays for stuff like lights or wicked loud horns!

Yes, save the screws. The bracket on the frame is where I attached the ground straps of my Nology spark plug wires.

I know this has been covered time and time again and so apologies in advance but I can't find the information I'm after: can someone tell me the parts I'd need to block off the holes left after removing the AI? I know SV650 sump plug bolts fit into the holes in the head but I asked my stealer today for some (he does Trump and Suzi) and he wanted a model year. (Alternatively, some dimensions will do.) Also, what size blanking plugs will I need for the airbox and vacuum-thing? And where the ****** do you get them? The biggest DIY shop in the UK (B&Q) doesn't stock them and I've no idea where else to try. Getting a kit is NOT an option... 20 quid for something that should cost 6! Bollix to that!!!
Cheers, neill (the cheapsk...erm, frugal one)
