That's cool Gina. Is your father old enough to have ridden it during that war, or did he pick it up later in life?

Nah....he was born a couple of months before the end of the war...
But he is only the 3rd owner. The first - the British Army. A bloke he knew that lived round the corner bought direct from the Army, and used it for a couple of years. Till 1962 to be precise. He then had a (non-bike) accident and couldn't ride anymore. Couple of years later, he gave it my dad, who'd been hanging his nose over it for years. It's sat in the garage for years...he never seemed to have the courage to do anything with it. However for whatever reason, it will run this year. At the mo he's working on it when he's well, but so far it's going well. He's having the problems that happen with a 60 year old bike that hasn't run for 40 years, but getting around them.....till the MOT. But as it's returned to original, they can't fail it for only having a 20watt headlight bulb....on a 6 volt system....My mobile phone glows brighter!

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....
