I haven't posted on the "previously owned" thread, due to excessive ownership. I have owned 3 Harleys - a '62 panhead, '76 sportster, and an '87 superglide. If you gave me a brand new Harley today, I'd sell it and buy a motorcycle. Harley is all about image, sound and a perceived history. The history part is mostly sound, image and thinking that making something twice as big after it breaks is engineering.
I think that the members here recognized that early. Therefore, not many with HD experience. I was stupid enough to have bought 3 of them - they didn't change my miserable life - I had to find a motorcycle.
