Here in Iowa we seem to designate at least 1/3 of all parking spaces for handicapped. I swear you can get a handicap sticker for post nasal drip.

My favorites are the old folks who troop to the malls to go power walking in the winter and park in the handicapped spaces.

Why are there so many handicapped spaces outside health clubs? Even if they ARE really handicapped, isn’t the idea to get exercise?

Before I retired from the Navy Reserve we started reserving a bunch of spaces for the handicapped. OK, but if you’re handicapped you can’t be IN the Navy Reserve.

My mother had a heart condition, once she was on the mend she was advised to get more exercise. So what did they do? Gave her a handicapped sticker of course!

Speaking of absurdities, my favorite is still the Braille instructions at the drive through ATM. Obviously a federal mandate

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
