My dad has a blue (Disabled) badge. Looking at him he has nothing wrong. He had a stomach op over 10 years ago. 6 months later he was diagonsed with ME. At that time it was yuppie flu, something derided by the press. Since he has been pensioned off from a job he enjoyed - he was an electrical surveyor for the council - but is determined not to be seen not to be laying around. He has done volutary work, he does electrical work for a mate in payment he get gets junk, but he's happy with junk. (well that's what my mum calls it anyway...)
These days he has good days, where he works on my inheritance (the old Triumph) and bad days where he does nothing.

Next you'll be saying that we can't take the mickey out of anyone. Even the French!

Even Disabled people take the mickey out of themselves... it show they are well adjusted and don't take life too seriously. And most of them have every reason to be serious.
