 T-bike pipes & MPG ?

Since I live in an area of the country where there are few other Triumphs, I have only meet one other TBA rider. I have found this board very informative. I read it about every day.
My 2003 America is the forth Triumph I've owned, but the first Hinckley model. I've had it a year, and it is still stock. No problem in 5,000 miles. Getting over 50 MPG, no blueing of the pipes, and very little poping.
If I get the Tbike pipes, what can I expect to change ?
I would think that a 25% increase in HP, has to come from somewhere. Even with the stock jets in the carbs, a freer flowing exaust should pull more air through the carbs. And the ventura effect should cause more pull on the gas from the jets. What have the owners of the bikes that have the ThunderBike pipes experenced ?

Wow, over 50 mpg is pretty rare. Most of us stock or modified are in the low 40's.

I got 53 to 55 mpg on my america till I opened up my stock pipes, now I get 45 to 48 mpg.I too am looking to get some T-bike pipes and figure I'll get mpg's in the low 40's then but I'd like the extra umph ya get with the pipes.

I'm with Grump on this one...I know stock I was getting in the low to mid 40mpg range, but since the T-pipes I know I've been a little more generous with the throttle. I haven't checked it since the pipes and rejetting, but I'm sure it's less simply because of that. If you rode exactly the same, I can't imagine there would be that much of a difference.

I got just short of 44 MPG on the 160 mile trip I took last weekend, but that was up a really long steep hill and included a good bit of 90 ++ mph running. I have Epco pipes, but I would think the Tbike ones would be about the same as far as fuel consumption.
