BIIIIG leather jackets please ...

I'm fed up with not being able to buy a decent BIG leather jacket for a fat bloke.

I've seen bigger blokes than me with leather jackets and, though I'm big, I know that the cows are bigger - so why don't I seem to be able to get them ??

Do these guys get them specially made or what?

Anyone in the UK that can help - let me know!
Or anywhere in Arizona (I should be back there in October).

I know I should be working towards the available clothes rather than then work up to me but for the time being, humour me eh?

My local leather shop worked with me to find a jacket and chaps that fit. I usually wear XXXL shirts/jackets and 50" waist pants. With the leather shops help we finally figured out that the (buffalo) leathers I wanted had to be a 4XL jacket and 5XL chaps. When I'm ready to order my Vanson Teton jacket they said they'd take all the measurements and get it handled. So I guess I suggest finding a local leather store you can work with.

I had the same trouble, when I first started riding in 2000, had no option but to get a cordura jacket. When I was in the US, managed to get one over there, (and had the Triumph logo painted on the back).

When I get the chance, will look in a couple of bike mags to get some web addresses for you.

Iknow what you mean. I weigh 350lb. and 6ft.
Here is a catalog I got mine from. sent my measurments and it fit perfect. It is a flight jacket and not a motorcycle jacket. It feels good from 65deg. down to 15deg. havn't ridden below 15deg.
Try this catalog: www.kingsizedirect.com
I'm pretty sure they have cycle jackets to.
I paid $80.00 for the one I got.

When you're in Arizona, check out a Harley shop. They usually have some XXL stuff. All their stuff is high quality (and price) but you may have hard time finding jackets that aren't covered in their logo.

Here are some websites that I found in a magazine, have never used them myself.
web page web page web page web page

Alternately, you could search on the web for other (US) sites that would probably be cheaper, or even try at a bike show later this year.

Good luck

Thanks Shaun
Typical, I post the thread then don't get chance to get back on the case for nearly a week!
The Bikers Paradise site was just the job mate.
They are in Coventry which was 40 minutes for me and I've got me a jacket!!
I went for the 'Elite Patrol Jacket'.
Fits OK and it'll strecth a little (most things do with my lard arse in them!) but seems really good quality.
Cheers mate!
