The best thing I found was this stuff called "Boms away".
I put a little squirt on the polishing wheel and 2 minutes later blue and gold was gone. I also did my levers and front fork shrouds and it shined it up to a all most chrome like finish. When I ordered I also got "the Bom" which is a bike polish which was pretty great too, cut my cleaning time in half. All together both products cost about $40 plus shipping. Their web site is
