I've got the Triumph alarm.
I think there may have been a "bad batch" at the time I had it fitted, as the first one flattened the battery, and had to be replaced, but the second one has been fine for over a year.
I'd agree the combination of button pushes is confusing (and never seems to work the same way twice!!), but I got a discount on insurance by having it fitted, so I guess it's worth it in the long run.
