I just got my new 06 TBA. Silver. Love it. (I can't believe I am even on my PC right now) anyways...
It is very nice to know there are folks here helpin out each other.
During my research of exhaust replacement, in order to put some nuts under the bike, I found info scattered about the forum.
I thought it would be helpful if there was a "Place to start for Exhaust Facts" thread that would have THE BASIC FACTS about replacement. I know it will help Newbies like Me..
For instance.
1. What is the name for the stock pipes? (I got a little confused when browsing around and still am not clear when they are talked about or not.)
2. Does replacing void the warranty? (I asked the dealer and they told me that they would never report it. So it wouldn't matter)
3. What is ALL done in the process of changing out your pipes? I.E. Change pipes and rejet? What else? Carbs?
4. If the replacement kit you choose comes with new jets and needed hardware, do you have to take it in and have the bike put on a dyno after your done? Or are you "matched"?
5. Slip on Exhaust or do you replace from the header?
Etc. Etc.
It seems that it would be helpful to have this Exhaust 101 for dummies thread.
